Boston sneaker boutique CNCPTS is gearing up to release their latest collaboration with New Balance, the 1000 model, inspired by the discontinued $1,000 bill that has been out of circulation since 1969. Known for their meticulous attention to detail and storytelling in sneaker design, CNCPTS previously celebrated currency with the release of the 2013 New Balance 998 “C-Note” which showcased the redesign of the $100 bill. The upcoming 1000 silhouette is set to feature a green color scheme complemented by small red branding accents, similar to the aesthetic of the now-defunct bill. While specific details are still under wraps, release is expected in Spring 2025, with pairs likely available exclusively through CNCPTS at a price around $180.
