Nike continues its relentless pursuit of speed and innovation with the introduction of the Nike Streakfly 2—a purpose-built racing shoe designed to dominate shorter distances. This next-generation silhouette is lighter, faster, and more aggressive than its predecessor, redefining fast-racing footwear performance. Weighing in at just 126 grams (Men’s 8.5), it is 40 grams lighter than the original Streakfly, making it one of the lightest low-profile racing shoes available.
Significant updates include a full-length carbon fiber Flyplate—a first for the Streakfly franchise—derived from the technology found in Nike’s Vaporfly 4, which enhances propulsion and energy return. Coupled with ZoomX foam, the most responsive midsole material from Nike, the Streakfly 2 delivers a soft-yet-snappy ride, facilitating both speed and comfort for runners.
Athletes like Jessica Hull and Cooper Teare have contributed feedback during development, ensuring the shoe meets the demands of high-performance racing. The Streakfly 2 eliminates the need to switch between training flats and spikes, significantly reducing muscle fatigue and improving post-run recovery.
Slated for global release in March 2025, the Nike Streakfly 2 will be priced at $180, representing the latest advancement in Nike’s commitment to performance innovation.
