The Nike Kobe 9 EM “Mambacita” is set to release on May 1, 2025, during the Spring season. This iteration of the Kobe series continues to honor the legacy of Kobe Bryant, following in the footsteps of the “Gift of Mamba” colorway which debuted with the Kobe 4 Protro in December 2023. With its tonal black upper and striking gold Swoosh, this sneaker combines performance and luxury while paying homage to Bryant’s achievements with the Lakers. The Kobe 9 EM features Engineered Mesh construction for a lightweight and breathable fit. As the first release of the Protro edition Kobe 9, it also celebrates Gianna Bryant’s birthday, making it a significant release for fans of the line. This model will be available through select Nike retailers both in-store and online, including Nike.com, and will come in men’s and grade school sizes.
