In the world of signature sneakers, Donovan Mitchell has quickly established himself as a veteran. With his fifth signature model, the adidas D.O.N. Issue #5, set to debut on October 15th, Mitchell joins the ranks of other adidas athletes like Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, and James Harden who have had a greater number of signature models.

But Mitchell didn’t just unveil his latest sneaker quietly. He made sure to get ahead of the sneaker insiders by debuting the D.O.N. Issue #5 during the MLB All-Star Game earlier this summer. However, it was a cleated version of the “Blue Sapphire” colorway, giving fans a taste of what was to come.

The D.O.N. Issue #5 features a plastic TPU upper and mesh pockets, following the bootie-like construction seen in previous models like the Harden Vol. 7 and the upcoming adidas AE1. The addition of rope laces and mid-foot lockdown cables ensures a secure fit, while the sculpted footbed with Lightstrike cushioning technology provides optimal comfort.

Fans can look forward to the release of the D.O.N. Issue #5 in three different colorways. The “Blue Sapphire” and “Purple Bloom” editions will be available on October 15th, priced at $120. The “Black Widow” colorway with burgundy accents will follow on November 1st. To hold you over until then, check out the detailed images of the upcoming releases, including the vibrant “Solar Yellow,” “Solar Red,” and classic “White/Gum” color blockings.

In other sneaker news, the Nike LeBron 21 “Black/Particle Grey” recently made its official debut, offering fans another on-court option to drool over.
