Nike, known for pushing boundaries in the sneaker world, is bringing back one of its most controversial and experimental designs from the early 2000s: the Clogposite. This unique sneaker, inspired by the Flightposite 1, gained a dedicated cult following and rumors of a collaboration with streetwear powerhouse Supreme had enthusiasts buzzing. Now, Nike has confirmed that the Clogposite will indeed make its return in 2024.
The Nike Clogposite, introduced at the turn of the millennium, is like a slimmed-down version of the Flightposite, featuring a nearly identical upper and the iconic Foamposite technology that made its debut in the late 90s. Although it was initially released under the name “Solo Slide” in 2014, Nike has decided to retire that moniker for its latest retro release.
The timing of the Clogposite’s comeback couldn’t be better, as slides, clogs, and similar styles have been experiencing a surge in popularity. Fans can expect multiple colorways to hit the shelves in 2024, and they’ve been treated to an exclusive first look at these pairs through images shared in Nike’s SNKRS Showcase.
In other exciting news, Nike has also given us a glimpse of the highly anticipated Royal Foamposites. Stay tuned for further updates on both releases as they become available.
