The Nike Zoom Spiridon, known for its last appearance on the market in late 2018, is making a comeback, thanks to none other than Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design.
Recently revealed by @knowing_kicks on Instagram, the FRGMT x Nike Zoom Spiridon is drenched in the brand’s iconic royal blue color. The upper features a luxurious combination of soft suede at the mudguard and durable nylon, replacing the usual porous mesh. What’s interesting is that the lace eyelets, usually visible through the see-through layer, are completely hidden, giving the Zoom Spiridon a fresh and unrecognizable look without compromising its striking midsole design.
Of course, this collaboration wouldn’t be complete without the unmistakable FRGMT branding. Bold lettered embroidery on the tongue proudly displays the Fragment Design logo, which also appears on the outsole rubber pod. And while the traditional technical lettering found on fragment design x Nike collaborations is absent from the midsole, it finds its place on the heel stripe, elegantly curling into the pull-tab.
As for the release date, it’s currently shrouded in mystery. However, it’s safe to assume that the highly anticipated FRGMT Spiridons will hit the market in Spring 2024, giving sneakerheads something to look forward to.
