The Nike Air Max Plus, an iconic sneaker design by Sean McDowell, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in true style. In addition to collaborations with Patta and F.C. Barcelona, McDowell’s creation has also graced us with a range of general editions. The latest rendition of this once-exclusive Foot Locker gem is dressed up in a captivating “Summit White” and “Ashen Slate” color scheme, coating every inch of the sneaker, from the mesh base layer to the TPU overlays on the sides. It’s worth mentioning that the Air Max Plus has always had a knack for lively blue gradients since its debut, introducing the world to the revolutionary Tuned Air technology.

Over the years, McDowell’s performance-turned-street silhouette has witnessed a plethora of finishes, but none seem to excite both long-time sneakerheads and new enthusiasts quite like the attention-grabbing styles showcasing awe-inspiring color-changing aesthetics. While the all-black variant has gained a notorious cult following, especially in the U.K. and Australia, this “Ashen Slate” iteration takes a more understated approach. However, fear not, as palm tree-inspired waves on the sidewalls and distinct whale tail-shaped shanks underfoot still pay tribute to the sneaker’s vibrant color history. To add a little flair, the Air Max units underfoot and the Tuned Air bubbles at the rear also receive the blue makeover treatment, delivering a touch of simplicity with the “Summit White” backdrop.

Although Nike has yet to reveal the official launch date on their website, we can rest assured that this information will be unveiled soon. In the meantime, let’s feast our eyes on the official photos of the women’s Air Max Plus, retailing at the price of $175 USD.
