This week, Montreal brand JJJound has begun teasing their next release with Japanese footwear brand Asics. In addition to a new GEL-Kayano 14 color, the brand has also shared an early look at their GEL-Quantum 360. JJJJound first teamed up with Asics back in 2022, helping to hype up the (then) recent retro of the GEL-Kayano 14 runner. The previous collaboration’s simple two colorways were some of the hardest pairs to get that year, still fetching high resale prices in the aftermarket. This time, they seem to be departing from their usual minimalist aesthetic with this new GEL-Quantum 360 release. Posted on Instagram, the shoe presents a knit upper with minimal paneling and features from the GEL-Quantum 360 Knit 2, adorned with embroidered patterns that create a wave-like effect. While no pricing details have been released yet, the anticipation around this shoe is notable, especially following the success of their earlier collaborations. As fans wait for further information, this new style represents a significant evolution in JJJound’s design approach.
