New Balance continues to enhance its lifestyle offerings by introducing a brand new silhouette, the 471, which is inspired by heritage running shoes from the 1970s. In recent years, New Balance has solidified its place in the sneaker culture by revamping classic models that pay homage to their rich history of performance footwear. The 471 follows in the footsteps of popular releases like the 327 and 237, which have been well-received for merging vintage aesthetics with modern styling.
The 471 features a low-profile design, complemented by paneling layers that add an element of flare. Its construction includes a slim EVA rubber midsole in white paired with a gum outsole, showcasing a ‘Timberwolf’ colorway. The shoe incorporates a mesh upper in white, adorned with suede overlays at strategic points for added structure. A distinctive soft purple leather ‘N’ logo provides a finishing touch to this retro-inspired model.
Set to launch on March 27th, 2025, the New Balance 471 will be available through both New Balance’s official channels and select retailers at an MSRP of $100. This release not only adds to New Balance’s growing lineup of retro runners but also signals the brand’s commitment to combining nostalgia with contemporary design.
