New Balance is set to launch the 509 silhouette in its Spring 2025 collection, featuring classic colorways that reflect the brand’s enduring style. Originally introduced in the early 2010s as a high-tech running shoe, the 509’s simplicity has earned it a prominent spot in the ‘dad shoe’ trend. Following a successful collaboration last year with Korean designer Do Hee Kim, which reinvigorated interest in the model, New Balance now returns with two in-line versions in March: one in black and white, and another in grey and white. The black/white version features a stark contrast with a white upper and black lower half, while the grey/black variant offers a lighter aesthetic with hints of mauve. Both shoes are priced reasonably at $100 each and will be available from select retailers starting March 1, 2025. The anticipation for these releases showcases New Balance’s ability to blend retro charm with contemporary fashion.
