In a sneaker revelation at the Nike World Basketball Festival, the renowned Beaverton brand showcased its Holiday 2023 collection, unveiling a captivating assortment of “Baroque Brown” lifestyle kicks and introducing the highly anticipated Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch.” Just in time for the festive season, Nike has a surprise in store, presenting the iconic Nike KD 3 “Christmas.”
Regarded as one of the most beloved colorways in Kevin Durant’s extensive signature line, this vibrant yellow ensemble first caught our attention in August and has now been confirmed with official imagery. Originally hitting the shelves in 2010, these low-top beauties graced the feet of Durant on Christmas Day that same year, when he dazzled with an impressive 44-point performance against the Denver Nuggets.
Much like its previously released “All-Star” and upcoming “Aunt Pearl” counterparts, the Nike KD 3 “Christmas” retains the exact specifications of the original silhouette from a decade ago. A sleek, full-grain leather engulfs the majority of the upper, with its forefoot’s Flywire construction shimmering in a lustrous finish. The eye-catching “Vibrant Yellow” hue engulfs almost the entirety of the silhouette, from the upper and tongue to the luxurious nylon inner lining and the Zoom Air cushioning system beneath. Meanwhile, “Photo Blue” and “Team Orange” accents illuminate the profile swooshes, tongue tab, Flywire branding, and the video game controller buttons that adorn the heel.
Mark your calendars, as the Nike KD 3 Retro “Christmas” is set to hit stores on December 23rd, retailing at $130. In the meantime, treat yourself to a detailed look at these exquisite kicks in the accompanying images.
